Hello everyone,
I am in the process of transforming my personal website into a platform for an inclusive sewing and stitching collective. Throughout the years, I have attended numerous sewing and stitching classes. Unfortunately, I often left feeling defeated due to the lack of inclusivity for individuals with disabilities, neurodiversity, or different body sizes.
As a person who is fat, has ADHD, and is disabled, participating in group learning environments can be challenging. I frequently end up questioning my abilities rather than feeling a sense of accomplishment. I
n my efforts to promote accessible education, I plan to collaborate with current workshop leaders to establish an inclusive space and tailor their teaching methods. My goal is to begin offering online and in-person sewing workshops by 2025.
